Kim M Gregory

Greetings from the coast of the SC Lowcountry ,

I have 30+ years of experience concentrating on candid photography. I love to photograph sporting events including soccer & polo matches, historical places & events, basketry, gardens, nature, food, and the occasional wedding.

I have earned press credentials with The Charleston Battery Professional Soccer TeamIn addition to photographing events and special moments of folks lives, I digitally enhance photos that others take and help organize your old family photos [Ancestral Archival Organization].

Do you have tons of shoe boxes or albums full of old family paper photos or slides? Would you like all those old family photos scanned to a DVD & have the picture quality enhanced?

Want to get all those photos off your camera

Need photos cropped, resized or the colors brightened so you can print photos you will be proud of?  Contact me at Kim@AdditionsToOurTable.com

** I have tons of photographs that I would like to share.  I have held a camera in my possession since high school, maybe even earlier.  I was probably one of the last to give up film and succumb to the digital age. Now days, my digital camera is my purse.  I seem to put everything into it!

As with my photography, I have 30+ years of experience as an avid southern gardener, which has inspired me in becoming an imaginative & resourceful cook. As an Innkeeper, I created southern style breakfasts, dinner and afternoon tea delights for two Downtown Charleston Historic Bed and Breakfasts.  I have always kept a journal and I like to do a little writing about this and that…Farmer's Markets and the smell of pluff mud, kayakingbread making using potato starter and why we take the photos we do.  I can even walk you through the process of how to make yummy cinnamon rolls.

I was fortunate to grow up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in East Tennessee.  After attending school at The University of Tennessee/Knoxville [Industrial Management & Psychology] and Georgia State University [Business Management & Business Law] in Atlanta, Georgia, I landed in a wonderful historical and culinary neighborhood. The song is right; ‘Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina…’ I fell in love with Charleston the first time I visited. I often say ‘I was carried here by the current’.

I have created two web sites:

1] Additions To Our Table www.AdditionsToOurTable.com~ Recipes of The South and Other Pleasant Places~Featuring Mouth Watering Tastes of ‘Garden To Fork’ Spirited Culinary Renditions. Photographs featured in our website were all taken by me… all produce, herbs and flowers were grown by me in our ‘backyard garden’, all the baskets were hand-woven by me during my 'Hand-woven Appalachian Basket' days and

2] Sports photos at http://scislandgirl.smugmug.com/ which is a collection of events I have enjoyed watching through the lens of a camera.

I have had the fortunate opportunity to work in many industries.  While in college, I worked in an architectural firm in the Buckhead community of downtown Atlanta, GA. When my children were young I created my own business Hand-Woven Appalachian Baskets.  Later, I spent several years in the SC public school system, served as a tour guide at historic plantations & homes, as a youth director for two churches & curriculum facilitator in summer camps,  & most recently at a continuing care retirement facility here in Mt. Pleasant, SC., which was one of the most rewarding experiences of my adult life.  Community service, including the development youth soccer & hosting foreign exchange students from Germany, New Zealand and Burma gave me many memorable experiences.  I have traveled in over 10 foreign countries including being in Russia on our nation’s Bicentennial, and numerous Caribbean Islands.
